We know there’s one thing that really sets us apart: our people. In this series, we take you behind the scenes with people from all over DB Results and show you what really makes us tick.

Hi, I’m Orlando, a Consultant at DB Results.

My role is all about connection. I work closely with clients to understand their requirements and help them transition from legacy systems to modern, streamlined platforms. For me, it starts with listening. Building strong relationships with stakeholders and making sure the solutions we deliver genuinely fit their needs is what makes the work meaningful.

There’s a real sense of pride when a project milestone is reached and users share positive feedback. Seeing something we’ve worked hard on improve someone’s day-to-day operations makes it all worthwhile.

I’d describe myself as outgoing, focused and ambitious. I like to push myself and aim to deliver work to the highest standard possible. What I enjoy most about DB Results is the team culture. People are generous with their knowledge and genuinely invested in helping each other grow. It creates an environment where you feel supported to step outside your comfort zone and keep developing.

At DB Results we pride ourselves on being a profit-for-purpose company, with our purpose being split across four houses: Health, Environment, Lifestyle and Poverty. I’m proud to be Lifestyle co-captain, where we aim to leverage technology and our resources to give people back more discretionary time to focus on the things they truly enjoy and value in life.

Outside of work, sport plays a big part in my life. Whether it’s soccer, running or cycling, I love the competitive energy and staying active. Completing two marathons is something I’m particularly proud of. Training for them taught me that consistency and small, repeated efforts can lead to big outcomes, a mindset I bring into my professional life as well.

I’m also a passionate foodie. I love cooking, especially steak basted in herb butter or served with chimichurri, and experimenting with new recipes at home. I believe that if you know how to cook, you can always eat what you love. Exploring new restaurants and spending evenings out in the city is my ideal way to unwind.

For the past seven summers, I’ve also worked as a statistician at the Australian Open, recording tennis match statistics in real time. It’s a fast-paced role that demands attention to detail and quick decision-making, skills that translate directly into my work as a consultant. Each point we capture up to 15 data points, including the match score. It’s exciting to know the data I capture is used by commentators and broadcast worldwide.

If I could give advice to my younger self, it would be this: be patient and trust the path you’re on. It’s easy to feel pressure to be further ahead, but everything unfolds in its own time. Back yourself. Trust your strengths. You’re where you are for a reason.

I’m proud of the relationships I’ve built at DB Results, both professional and personal, and I’m looking forward to continuing to grow and contribute in the years ahead.
