Hi, I’m Marnie Morton, the driving force behind the People and Culture team at DB Results. With a passion for supporting others, I lead the Business Services – People team, focusing on enabling our people to deliver outstanding results for customers. My role spans recruitment, learning and development, HR, and overall ensuring a positive employee experience from onboarding to departure.
I am involved in shaping the company’s people strategy and business planning, with a particular focus on leadership and culture. I am constantly refining our practices to keep pace with best practice and legislative changes and coaching both individuals and managers through workplace challenges. Never a dull moment.
A typical day for me is filled with meetings, aligning teams on business priorities, and fostering open communication. What I enjoy most is seeing people grow. Whether it’s supporting someone through a tough situation or watching managers develop new skills and confidence.
Outside of work, I lead a busy life with three teenage boys, frequent trips to the beach, and a new border collie puppy. Most people don’t pick it, but I love adventurous activities. From skydiving to swimming with sharks, and even recently surprised colleagues by winning our table tennis tournament!
My proudest achievements include raising independent, empathetic children and supporting positive organisational change across industries. I value authentic leadership and encourage self-awareness and empathy for both personal and professional growth.
My story is a testament to the power of people-focused, embodied leadership and the value of embracing both challenge and change.
